Even though it's hard ... I smile

I love travelling and occasionally I travel by train and get to enjoy picturesque scenery as the train speeds along the countryside and cities. If you have ever travelled on a train on a long journey, you may have noticed that every once in a while, it goes through a tunnel.

I'm not fond of tunnels, they are dark, spooky and there's nothing to see in there and a lot of times there's no phone reception. It's always a great relief when the train shoots out of the tunnel and back into the magnificent light again.

Over the last few weeks I've felt like I've been in a dark tunnel in my own life journey. Things have been difficult and kinda weighing me down. It seemed like there was so much opposition from the enemy and I started losing the will power to even fight back. Even my so called communication "reception" in the tunnel was poor, I couldn't "connect" with God as well as I usually do. But praise God that I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, very soon I shall shoot out of the dark and into the glorious light.

The other day I was listening to Joyce Meyer's podcast and God spoke to me and reminded me of an "old time truth", through her message. She said that although our victory has already been secured, we still need to fight aggressively to be able to possess everything which is rightfully ours.
Matt 11:12 says that.".. the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and violent men shall take it by force."

I have put back on my fighting gloves and resumed the fight and I'm not going to allow the enemy to run rampage in my life. The bible says we should "...fight the good fight..." and I'm now doing so with joy as I know that soon, I will be out of the tunnel and enjoying the lovely scenery again.

Kirk Franklin's new song (with some one's homemade video) has kept me company and do take a moment to listen to it, it's a great song. I can't listen to it and not smile. And so I smile...not because my life is perfect but because I serve a God who works everything for good behind the scenes, praise God
Like Aretha Franklin sang..."say a lil prayer for me..." if you get a chance, I appreciate you stopping by, thanks and have a lovely week!

The Master's Visitors

Hello peeps, am so busy and so much going on (life is happening full on..*sigh*) and I don't even have time to do a blog post but you can munch on this blast from the past....that I'm reposting...till I'm back, have a good weekend!

The Master's Visitors

They come from all directions with their worries and their woes,

Some problems are big, some are small,

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining at all,

But if only they'd have some love for me.

"Can you pleeeeaze help my sick daughteeer?" the Indian woman asks in a desperate voice.

I take her daughter and place her on my lap,

A little TLC and a rub of the tummy,

And the girl is skipping and dancing around.

"Can you fix my lapy topy," the Chinese man asks with a smile.

I take the laptop from him, a little screwing here and a dusting there,

Within a few minutes, I hand it back to him good as new.

"Now stay off the streets and stop selling DVDee DVDee."

"My crop has failed and I have no food,

My family and I will starve if you do not help,"

The African man looks round hoping I'll offer him Supermalt.

Bags of grain, wheat and flour I give to him from my abundant storehouse.

"Yo wassup Big Man, I need your help,

Ain't good for man to be alone, you know the deal,

I need a honey, you know someone to love," says the American man with a twang in his drawl.

I point him to the East where a beautiful maiden is picking flowers,

Go to her, Your soul mate awaits you.

"Mama Mia, Help me Master, ze debtors in Milan are after me!"

I look at the Italian Shopaholic, carrying dozens of bags,

eyeing me from behind her Gucci sunglasses,

I sigh at her mess but still settle her debts,

Another satisfied visitor leaves without a second thought.

They come from all directions with their worries and their woes,

Some problems are big, some are small,

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining at all,

But if only they would show an ounce of gratitude

Or treat me better than they treat Santa Claus.

Then I see a boy approaching,

"Master it's good to see you."

"Good to see you too my child. What can I do for you?"

"Nothing. I just came to see you."

"You mean you don't need anything?"

"No, I wanted to spend time with you and tell you I love you

and appreciate everything you do."

Simplicity of Men Vs Complexity of Women !!!

Wife's Diary vs Hubby's Diary

HER DIARY
3 February 2011
==========
 Tonight, he was acting weird.
We had made plans to meet at a
cafe to have some coffee.

I was shopping with my friends
all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that

I was a bit late,
but he made no comment.

Conversation wasn't flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet
so we could talk, he agreed but
he kept quiet and absent.

I asked him what was wrong
- he said,"Nothing.

"I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had
nothing to do with me and not to worry.

On the way home I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept
driving. I can't explain his behavior; I don't know why he didn't say, "I love u,too."

When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.
He just sat there and watched TV.; he seemed distant and absent. Finally I
decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he came to bed. I decided
that I could not take it anymore,

so I decided to confront him with the situation but he had fallen asleep.

I started crying and cried until I too fell asleep. I don't know what to
do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else.

My life is gonna be a disaster.

HIS DIARY

==========
Today Manchester United lost the  match
against Chelsea.

Damn!!

Someone sent this "Diary Piece" to me and I thought it was funny and since February is the "love month" (roll on Feb 14...lol) I decided to share it with u guys..... I think it's funny and sad how the wife was quick to assume that it was her fault that her man was acting distant and must be thinking of another woman shm,...in life especially relationships, lets never assume....gather facts if you can, bcoz as the saying goes, "Assumption is the mother of all screw ups!"

You can find more about the differences between men and women on my old blog post Men are from Mars Women are from venus

Have a lovely week!
